To check out more of Ethan’s work, look him up on ComicArtFans, or search for him on Facebook.

Ethan put in a very full day at the store, drawing non-stop for all the fans who came out.  He even had time to draw me a sketch of my very favourite character, the Man of Steel himself!

Here’s me and Ethan out for supper in glorious downtown Saskatoon. Yes, there are better photos of me in existence.

As a thank you for hanging out (and for my Superman drawing) I gave Ethan a Superman drawing of my own, based on the actor Henry Cavill, who will be playing Superman in the upcoming Man of Steel film.

Ethan at work on Superman.  He said there’s added pressure when drawing Superman, because unlike other characters, Superman is a “real guy”.  I loved that.

The finished product.  Awesome.

Ethan with a Don Sparrow Superman. This was drawn before we knew how different the new Man of Steel suit would look.

Since that time, I’ve had a chance to digitally colour a copy of the drawing I gave Ethan.  Here’s how it turned out.

I was pretty happy with it.  Anyway, if you’re reading this, thanks, Ethan, for a great visit, and for sharing all the funny and interesting stories you did.  Your artwork is an inspiration to us all.  And thanks to Jeff, Byron and the Amazing Gang for bringing him to town in the first place.

Lots of new stuff coming soon on the blog, so keep your eyes peeled.  Thanks for reading, I love you.
